Soot filled insulation

A neighboring house had an extensive fire that burned very hot and sent a lot of soot through the air into the surrounding houses. Even though these houses did not cathch fire, they also incurred serious smoke and soot damage inside.

This owner called SERVPRO N Lauderdale/ W Tamarac for fire a damage estimate. Our free fire damage inspection assesse smoke and soot damage. Soot is tricky as the smell lingers extensively. We discovered the soot in teh attic. We expalined to the owners that the insulation needed to be removed and the attic cleaned with our unique cleaning agent in order to remove the strong soot odor.
